Backwoods find....

To my amazement, there are still some decent trucks to be had just sitting around. A friend of mine was joyriding his motorcycle in Nowheresville with his wife. They stopped at an old service station for gas. I mean an OLD service station with 2 bays and 2 pumps. His wife spotted a shortbed truck around the side for sale. She goes in to talk to the guy and finds out there is another one inside on a lift and he needs to get rid of them both because he already sold the station and has to be out. Shortened version, he buys 2 shortbeds. A '71 with a new 400sbc and th400, all new front sheet metal, new tailgate, factory a/c, lots of new parts in boxes, new American Racing wheels and tires, runs and drives. The other(from outside), just a decent roller shortbed with 5 lug and disc, a/c cab, and '67 sheetmetal. All for 4k. Then we bought the roller off of him for 1k. I figure it's a better start than cutting down the lwb custom c20 from this thread...http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=778022

I'm still up in the air about using the c20 as a parts truck....
