Rebuilding suspension and upgrading to disk brakes 1965 C20

I'm upgrading to disc brakes on my C20 with the 2,5" drop kit from POL. And during disassembly it is becoming obvious that the suspension needs a rebuild, or is it normal with some play in the threads of the steel bushings?
Is it correct that I can use the upper controll arm shaft from an up to 91 3/4 ton? See there are several options on rockauto.com, are there a lot of difference beteen the different brands? For the lower controll arm it looks like replacement shafts aren't available, mould the bushings from the newer shafts work or are there a source for the bushings only?
