Pump to carb gas line problem

Want to use the Edelbrock setup, but the filter is right up next to the runner on my old intake. The water hose nipple is in the way too. Suggestion? I think a spacer that would move the banjo fitting out a bit might work, but if I find one (maybe a fat washer?) would it leak? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Sorry about sideways pic. Don't know how to fix that. Thanks.
