My Observations, KYB Vs NAPA-Monroe Shocks

It's had been more than 20 years since I changed the shocks on my 68 CST. The ride quality seemed to have degraded recently so I pulled the trigger on 4 KYB shocks.

One of the KYB shocks for the front was mis-packaged and there was no chance it was right for my truck. The one that fit seemed to be cheap, did not fit very well and was not much more resistant to movement than the one I took off. I headed back to NAPA and they had a couple of NAPA Monroe OESpectrum shocks. They seemed like a lot better quality shock. They were much stiffer and made in USA. They were also just a little more $$$ than the KYBs.

I have yet to do the rears (they are not too bad yet) but after a short drive, I am very happy with these NAPA shocks. I'm also happy with NAPA for making things right.
