Poor man's aluminum headlight bezel

Finishing my truck soon..getting down to the final stages...I am working on the grille area. My steel headlight bezels were rusted and a little pitted. Trying to keep my truck as original as possible for as cheap as possible..I decided I would try to save them.

I sandblasted one and then sanded with 220 and then 320 grit paper. Knowing if I do nothing else to them, they will rust again...I am going to clear coat them after being cleaned up.

Only took 20 minutes or so...I could probably shine them up a little more, but no point...these will be good for my truck. It's not a show truck.

Here is a side by side comparison between an old rust bezel to a "new" cleaned bezel.

I am sure people have done this many times before, but I was excited to save a little $ and make them nicer than before.
