Factory Frigidaire Compressor Decal Board Project
A few of us on the Board are working together to reproduce the Frigidaire A/C compressor decal for our projects. I have done this once before as a one off for our '69 K10. The '70-71 and the 1972 decals are a different part/model number (from the '69) and the '72 version differs in size.
The decal should have a code number stamped on it that conveys the build date and shift the compressor was made. Which means each decal must be individualized. After speaking with the folks that do these decals with me...it is more cost effective for us to do several at a time. In fact, I'm not interested in quarterbacking a series of one off's for folks over time. I am posting this thread more or less as an announcement, so that anyone interested can be made aware and they can get their code no (build date) ready. I do not yet know what the cost will be. It will depend on how much graphic art time it takes to get to an approved draft. I will use this thread to update the project and when we are ready, I will post in the for sale section and take orders for about one week. Special thanks to Pete for procuring and original "short" 717.
