'66 lower control arm attachment advice, please

'66 3/4 ton 2WD. Need advice on what my front end should have. Didn't get a "before" pic to show what I had.

The LMC parts drawing below shows part 19, brackets, and part 21, U-bolts.

I'm trying to figure out where these go, and if I need them at all. The shop manual does not show them unless I'm missing it (which I have been known to do ) It appears that some 1/2" Grade 8 bolts are what hold the shaft to the frame, per my temporary fit below. It this OK as is, or do I need the caps and U-Bolts? If so, where do they fit into the equation? Thanks!
