Edelbrock Factory Settings?

Sometimes when ya want something done right - you gotta do it yourself, right?

Took the 64 in to a "SBC Pro" to set the timing and adjust the carb to ideal settings. Well - let's just say Dude might want to consider a new line of work...so I'm going to start from scratch and give it another shot.

I can't seem to find any info on the Google machine about how an Edelbrock Performance 1404 comes set "out of the box."

I know the fast idle screw sits between the notches, and my Air/Fuel mixtures should be set at around 1 1/4 out-turns as a base - but here's my question:

What is the ideal base setting for the TOP IDLE screw? In other words, if Idle screw is cranked all the way down - how many counterclockwise turns are needed to get it close to the factory settings?

Hoping if I can get these base settings right, the final fine tuning should be downhill from there.

Thanks in advance for any advice, Fellas!
