Newer style door check?

I put the Jeep style door checks in my truck during reassembly. I split the rubber in half so it would open more. Works okay but the door could open a bit more and it doesn't have any detents. I've been noticing a newer version of this style of door check is used in many newer vehicles. I was in a friends Carolla last week and saw there's had a couple of detents. Newer Fords have similar too. Unfortunately my local wrecker no longer allows customers to pick and pull anymore so that will stop me from shopping around for measurements. I might buy a new Carolla one on line just to check it out. They are pretty cheap to buy. If anyone here is planning a trip to a pick and pull you should take some measurements. Picture is 09-13 Carolla.
