47-59 59 pu cab vs larger truck size differances if any.

Hello,
On a 59 Chevy, are the pickup cabs/front clip the same as a 1-1/2 to 2 ton truck? The reason I ask is, I've got an 83 C30 that I thinking of transplanting a 59 cab/clip onto. The 59 side badges have what looks like "3? Chevrolet Apache". I've asked for more pictures and the VIN#. I've never liked the builds where there is an obvious miss match of cab/clip to tire size. I'd like it to look as "factory" as possible when done. This truck looks like it might of been converted to pull a 5th wheel or goose neck at one time as the bed is gone and it has crudely made rear fenders.
