Re: BBC temp creeps at idle; how did factory do it?
I have a transmission oil cooler on my truck, previously installed by my FiL. But it sits up at an angle behind the bumper, with little exposure to the wind. I considered putting fans on it, but now that I have the engine temperature controlled better, I'm thinking that I may not need to do that. Transmission temperature closely follows engine coolant temperature on my truck. Did you ask about an engine oil cooler? I don't have one, but maybe someone else does and can answer to that.
