door checks

im closing in on finishing a year and a half project restoring a 1966 stepside.
i learned the hard way that a large percentage of parts from all the vendors dont fit and need modifications to fit properly.

what i cant find are a set of door checks that work. ive installed 2 sets from a couple of the large companies, and they are all the same, both sets failed without it leaving the shop.

can anyone offer advice where i can find some sturdy door checks.
