Dana 44 Closed Knuckle to 10 bolt GM Corporate swap question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I'm swapping my 1968 K20 Dana 44 Closed Knuckle front axle assembly out for a 1974 K20 10 Bolt GM Corporate front axle assembly. Just looking at the Pinion Yoke and it looks like the two are different. The U bolts that hold the U-Joint in look like they will need to be longer (I haven't tried yet, just and observation). Do I just buy a new U-Joint with the U-Bolts for the '74 to solve the problem?
