Is this the right headlight switch?

Is this the right headlight replacement switch for my 87 silverado?

There seems to be quite a few of those things. And many of them fit lots of different vehicles. Is there any way I could determine which is the correct part number? Looks like that one is D6252D. I checked my old one but there's no part number anywhere on the outside. Any help here would be greatly appreciated!
