Have you looked to see if it may have a block with the pump rod hole drilled? I have seen TBI engines with fuel pump blockoff plates. If I already had the crate engine I would run an electric fuel pump and new intake and put it in before I tried to find another. Other than center-bolt valve covers it visually looks pretty much like a 69-72 307 or 350 so not sure what more "period correct" you are looking for? The late engines leak less oil with the 1-piece rear seal. You will need a 1-pc style flywheel or flexplate. Other than the intake and that, all other accessories will bolt right on.
