Question for those of you with Honda door seals

We are getting close to finishing the 1964 C10 that we have been working on for the past 6 years. I bought some Civic door seals from my local Honda dealer, using the part numbers from the numerous threads on the topic. I kept seeing statements about how perfectly they fit, and I love the quality of the seals, but I’m having some fitment issues. Mainly, they won’t quite fit into the lower corners. It’s like I need an inch of extra material. I have a couple ideas, but wanted to see if anyone else encountered this and if so, how did you fix it?

I’m thinking that I could heat the seals and stretch them to see if there’s any give. It’s rubber, after all. I’m also thinking that if I can find one in a junkyard, make a cut in the middle of the bottom piece, and add material from the junkyard donor into the gap. I’d rather not cut my fairly expensive seals, if I can help it.

Thanks for the input! I’ve been having pic hosting troubles recently, but I’ll see if I can grab some pics of the issues I’m having.
