Carb questions

I am in the process of removing my edelbrock intake and edelbrock carb. Right now I have a older intake that is non-emission. No heat choke hole, or egr hole. I am going to be running non-emission so this is the reason why I got the intake.

I have a quadrajet 17084226 that I was thinking of having rebuild and installed on it. Would this carb be ok to run non-emissions with, or do I need to look for a older carb that has a electric choke and non-emissions to run on it. If so, what other carbs would work on it and does anyone have one that's running good?

Any advice would help a lot.

Thanks
Tommy Davis
