F/S 1971 GMC Jimmy
For Sale is my 1971 GMC Jimmy. The truck has many new parts that I have replaced in the previous year. These parts include:
Engine: New Holly 670 Truck Avenger Carburetor New Headman Headers New Battery New Battery Cables New Starter New Alternator New Water Pump New Fuel Pump and filter New Plugs and wires New Magnaflow Mufflers New Heater Core Suspension: 6” Superlift Suspension Kit 35x10.5x15 Mud tires Misc: New front Brake Calipers and pads Warn Front Bumper Warn Hubs New Turn Signal Switch New Hi/Lo light switch New Black Dash pad Two 5 ˝ inch round Hella lights Not installed but included: 10 point SW Rollcage---Cost me about $250 shipped Corbeau Baja Seats-------Around $350 Two 5point Racing harness----Around $150 As far as the condition of the truck it does runs strong. It is not a daily driver for me, I mainly use it for around my farm and around town. It has a 350, TH350, NP205, Dana 44 front and 12 bolt rear. It has rust in the normal places. I have replaced the left outside rocker panel. There were some small places throughout the inside where I cut out the rust and either riveted a piece of sheet metal down or welded in some sheet metal. This is not a professional job. I was planning on using herculiner to coat the entire inside of the truck so I wasn’t too worried about it. As far as the outside of the truck, the tip in front of the right front fender is rusted out. This must be common because several companies sell a weld in replacement just for that. There rest of the truck is not too bad, but will take some work before new paint. I am asking $2700 like it sits. At this point I am pretty firm. This includes the items not installed. One note one of the new seats was chewed up by rats so the cover will have to be replaced. I called Corbeau and it will be $80 bucks for a new cover. The only other problem that I can think of is there is some short in the wiring. Something drains the battery when turned off. I do not have the time to fix it so it “as is”. The top is in pretty good shape. The back hatch will need a little work and it needs weather stripping. I can take pictures of anything. Please serious inquiries only. I live in Chattanooga, TN and I have a friend that can deliver for a nominal fee. jbennett@unumprovident.com 423-580-5798
