cool calculator program for speed.
http://pw1.netcom.com/~sgalaba/mph.htm
since our speedos arent very accurate and only go up to 85, its hard to tell exactly how fast we go sometimes. with this, it looks like the fastest i've been in the truck(one time only) was about 132.... very late at night on a highway by my house |

So, that would mean my theoretical top speed is over 200mph, SWEET. I have never had my truck over about 85.

Still in the subject, but I had a company contact me stating they are going to be making 160mph speedos out of the factory speedo for our trucks. They are supposed to send me more info and pricing. Anyone possibly interested?

And by that chart I could get my 305 powered truck up to 175mph. Rrriigghhtt... It doesn't take into account friction or air resistance which is a big factor on these trucks since they are bricks with wheels. I've had my speedo to almost zero again. That's like 120mph right? Captkaos - I'm interesed in the high speed speedo. BTW did you know all domestic cars in the 80's were required to have 85 mph speedo because the feds said it would "discourage speeding" Right... and that worked.

I would like to see what they look like and how correct the gauge reads, along with price. 85 the highest? My 88 Camaro reads 145 mph but hasnt seen 1 mph in about 3 years under its own power

They are supposed to send me a picture of them and the cost. They are a speedometer repair/customization shop and I have seen they other products, just not the one they say is for our trucks. I will post a pic when I get it though.
