Very nice truck. Very classy and not overdone. You will enjoy that and ride with a big smile on your face everyday I am sure and glad to see you decided to restore it and not part with it.

Kevin's is the 3rd GMC we have done in 3 years back to somewhat stock and i always enjoy working on a stock restoration instead of a customized street rod. We have a customers Ochre & White long bed Cheyenne from Tx in the shop now that will be bone stock when finished and i'm really enjoying every minute of it. He drove it here and will drive it back to Tx when finished. I like the idea of handing it down from generation to generation and the history behind them. THANKS KEVIN.

That's a great story. I'm glad you preserved the truck, and it looks great!

WOW!! I can certainly appreciate what you are doing. I am kinda in the same boat myself. Back in 76, my uncle bought a BRAND new GMC 1/2 ton 4x4, and used it to go hunting up in canada. 14 years, and only 30,000 miles later, he sold it to his brother (my dad), who drove it EVERY DAY for the next 10 or 12 years. 3 years after my dad bought the truck, my uncle suddenly passed away. Well, last summer, the truck rolled off a hill and hit a tree. I have had the frame straightened, and with the help of some truely awesome people on this board, I have tracked down most of the parts to put it back together. My dad is getting up in his years, so the truck isn't as much use to him as it was 5 years ago, but like you, it's another old GMC that gets to see another generation use it just like was meant to be used.
