Upper Control Arm Shaft kits?
After I got my spindle on I had about 1/4" or more play on the Upper control shaft bushing. Should I just replace all of it, shaft, bushings, and seals together?
Where can I buy the kits and about how much $ Thanks, Kenny

If you have it torn down I think I would replace them. I recently replaced uppers and lowers on my 72. You should be able to buy the kits at most any auto parts store. I think the uppers were about $20 for the complete kit: shaft, bushings and seals. About $40 for the lower kit. A 4ft cheater pipe will most likely be needed and a 3/4 drive socket set is sure handy.

Like Stroker said. If you have it tore down, do it all now and forget it for 10 years. I brought my 1 1/2-1 5/8 wrench from work to do mine. I hate to see pipe wrench marks on these. Leave them a little loose until you get weight back on them, then tighten.

do it while you have it apart! I think I paid $22 per side for uppers, or was it $17?

Do both the upper arm and the lower arm together, you will
be very glad you did. I recently purchased MOOG parts from a local vendor...Mine is a 71 and the part listed to fit both 71 & 72 models. MOOG UPPER CONTROL ARM SHAFT KIT MOG-K6098 $40.27 MOOG LOWER CONTROL ARM SHAFT KIT MOG-K6147 $53.88 You will need two each of the above. Summitracing can also get the parts and they may be a bit cheaper, I went local just in case I had problems/questions...this is the first front end I have torn down. I have decided to replace ALL the front end components including the springs....I dont want to go back in to replace anything for quite some time. Good Luck with what ever you decide to do. One thing you may want to note, there is a big difference in quality of front end parts. MOOG also makes a cheaper line that is sold by autozone, they have plastic/nylon inner pieces (you can see this by looking at the parts closely) where as, the real MOOG line has all metal inner pieces, these will last a hellava lot longer than the plastic ones, assuming you keep it well greased....bit more expensive up front, but will more than pay for itself over time.

I got most of the front-end parts for mine from NAPA. Good quality MOOG parts. Cost me about $800.00 to do the complete front-end.
