No bodydrop

For those wonderin how low u can get a 72 with no bodydrop here ya go.

How about a shot under the hood so we can see what you're doing about tire clearance? Also, what size tires are on the truck?

hey i was wondering if you had some pics of how you mounted the bottom of the bag, since you dont have cups.

Bag just sits in lower arm like a cup would but the bag sits there instead.

Nope no rubbin probs I got the idea from IF Customs they said it would work so i tried it works good and havent had any probs the lower arms are shallow and smooth

Yes they are original control arms with bumpstop mounts removed

I cannot picture how a stock/original arm would not cause the bag to rub while in a deflated state.

I'm not doubting ya, just curious as how this works without a lower cup.

I just used the plates that came with my airlift bags. No cups. No upper brackets either. Just the plates tacked in place

Dude i havent had chance to get pics but I really dont care if u believe it or not. I dont have nuthin to prove..........Mine have been like this for well over a year with no rubbin problems at all. If u know so much about these trucks and control arms u should know that the pocket is very shallow and no sharp edges so there is nuthin for the bag to rub on. If i get a chance i will take pics just to shut u up though!!!!!

As I stated earlier this wasnt somethin i came up with and tried I got the method from IF Customs they used this method on several of these style frontends with no problems for years. So i tried it myself and have had no probs and i will post pics as soon as i get some....

"Hate" and "Talking sh!t" are really strong words to use. Ya sure about that?

Shallow and sharp edges have absolutely NOTHING to do with a bag rubbing and wearing prematurely. When rubber continuously rubs against metal ... the metal will ALWAYS win, regardless of whether it has a sharp edge or a smooth edge ... it's called "abrasion."

I never said I knew more than you (although after hearing your explanation, I am pretty confident that I do ) ... I just said I didn't believe that the bags would NOT rub. Strangely enough, like you, I have bagged more than one truck and I have tried many different ways of mounting and have never found a way to mount bags on the stock lower A-arm and NOT use a cup that didn't result in the bag rubbing. If the bags didn't rub without lower cups, then no one would use them to begin with.

I only hope that me, someone in my family and/or one of my friends are lucky enough to NOT be on the same roadway as you when one of your bags rapidly deflates, due to abrasion, while you drive down said roadway. Although, that would go a long way in helping to shallow out the gene pool of persons, much like yourself, of questionable mechanical and suspenion design skills, I would hate to see someone get hurt.. I would also like to add that your username speaks volumes.

Again, this "ain't my first rodeo."

I, and many, many others anxiously await your pics so you can "shut me up."

Ill post pics as soon as i can get some taken and posted so we can end this little bs session I didnt mean i hated u man i dont know u just an expression. I wasnt braggin when i made this post, I was postin as everyone else does on the progress of their projects. I was skeptical about the whole bag rubbin myself until i saw the article in Streettrucks and tried it myself. Their is no abrasion as u pros call it without the cup cause the control arm is so shallow. And the only time the bellow comes in contact with the control arm is when it is all the way deflated and the bellow lays right on top of arm. pics will clear things up and if i took ur comments ealier wrong way im worry man just seemed like u was dissin to me. On the taillights we all have our opinions and mine is that i love them although im changin out to EXT lights to get rid of bulges. Pics soon as i can
