I wish I had pulled the motor and even taken the body off the frame before starting this, but I've already gone to far. Here are some pics of what has been done lately. Painted the motor (spray bomb I know), painted the frame aroung the motor, replaced the oil pan gasket (fun), the radiator support is painted and in place. I've been putting the AC box back on and other parts hoping to crank her up tomorrow. BTW, I know a lot looks bad, but I plan to replace or take off and clean-up after the body is painted.

looks good to me, is it that hard to take off the fenders?

looks dang good imo ,, no jay dub , its usually easier and quicker just to set the hole dog house off , youve got 2 core support bolts , then 3 or 4 bolts on the back of each fender in front of the doors , then unhook your wireing harness , radiator hoses ect ,the just get a buddy and set the front end off , last tiem i did it i had the dog house ready to come of in 15 minutes , but i was hustlin lol

Thanks. Taking the fenders off is really no big deal. I have new fenders to go on next. I hope to get the fenders edged and mounted soon so the engine compartment can be covered. Tired of using a tarp.

Good question, I think a blazer would look pretty good all silver.

Thanks all. No Cranky today. It just takes so much time to put all the stuff back on and do a little Duplicolor detailing. I hope to crank it tomorrow. I'm real close just a few more things to attach.

Yes about the color. I plan to paint the whole thing that color silver. The color is from a mid-80's BMW, but similar to most. I eventually want to use both the bottom trim and the truck upper trim. I thought about painting black between the trim but not too sure about that. I figure it may be a while before I can get all the trim.

Looks good. At least most of the stuff is painted, you can take your time and do little things like the booster and such as your schedule allows. Silver will look nice.

Thats the plan. I'm doing this work at my buddies bodyshop which is 100 mile round trip every day. I really just want to get the body completely done and then bring it back home. Since I took the front end apart, I couldn't help but pay some attention to the engine. Once I get it home I'll be able to take my time and clean up the accessories and work on the interior (Hopefully like JayDub's). I plan to drive my blazer every day so I don't need to make it too nice.

Blue Beard - I was thinking I might have them done. If you did yours, how do you like them? They wanted somewhere around $300 to do the radiator cradle, and both inner fenders - and Now was not the time. I don't plan on reinstalling the inner fenders until all of the painting is done. I might have them done depending on the price. I have new inner fenders and blowing some paint on them won't be a big deal. What do you think?
