If you have access to a welder with air arc, cut them off and reuse them. A cutting torch will work but be careful not to cut through the housing. Some on here have used square tubing and band sawed a curve out of them.
Some things to remember before starting any of this. The pinion angle is set at a certain rate. You should know what your truck is and place the 14FF pads to that angle and width. The shock mounts on later 3/4 tons are spread one front and one rear. Ours are both front. The 14FF housing is larger and will require one side of the shock mount to sit up on the housing while the other side sits on the axle tube.
If you have never done this and want to do it yourself, go for it. I would say it is best to have your old rear out and side by side for comparisons and measurements.
I have mine set up on towers that I made so I can stand up and work on it. Pads and shock mounts are moved and disc brakes are being fitted. I even made angle blocks to set the pinion angles for mine.
