The headlight buckets are different and I think someone posted once that the fronts of the fenders are different too, but I'm not sure about that. There are plenty of Jimmy's out there with Blazer front ends, so it is possible.

If it is a GMC then it would be a Jimmy. If you wanted a chevy grille on the front you would have to change the bumper, rad support(or weld on different headlight buckets), front fenders, hood latch brace, and the wiring harness for the headlights. Hoods are the same.

I got a whole 69-70 chevy front clip up here that would fit on it. Thanks Randy

I just recently put a chevy fender on my GMC, and everything fit perfect except for the 3 holes I had to drill for the extra GMC crome piece oh ya and 2 holes for the Jimmy emblem... so will the swap go one way but not the other???? My GMC grill fits perfect up next to the chevy fender.

I think you are right 71jimmy. The more I think about it I think I am going to restore it as a GMC. After bringing it home I found out that is is indeed a 71 not a 72. It has a 350 with a four speed. The front end is actually kind of growing on me the more I look at it. Thanks for your response guys.
