sneekpeek at the new rubber for the '80

wheels came into work yesterday and the tires came in today, and of course i dropped what i was doing and mounted the tires even though i won't have the axles ready for 2 or 3 more weeks.

pic comparing them to my 35x12.5x15 bfg mud spare (hint: they dwarf the bfg by about 5 inches)

pic of the 17" hummer wheels

they just barely tuck under my kitchen bar

they are 40x13.5x17 good year MTR's. i measured them and they are 39.5" tall, which is pretty close for larger tires. my 35x12.5 bfg's only measure 34" and my buddines 37X12.5 mtr's only measure 35.5"

lol, you should see the rest of my apartment. lift parts in the living room, guages on the intertainment center, fender behing the intertainment center, 4 tool boxes and welder in the bedroom, and it goes on. its not like a junk yard in there, everything is clean and organized as i am a neat freak. but with the shop that i work on my stuff in being 20 miles away, i keep alot of stuff at home. when we get a house this summer, i'll have a garage and then i'll really go crazy!

soleeagle - you can get a set of H2 wheels off ebay pretty easily for about 200 plus shipping. first thing every body does when they buy a hummer is put 20's, 22's or 24's on it so the stock 17's are a dime a dozen. i actualy got them from our ware house for 50 bucks a piece and no shipping charges
