A-arm bushing removal for '76 front-end

Over the weekend I picked up a complete front saddle from a '76 gmc 1/2 ton. I'm going to remove all the parts that I'll need to get my disc brake swap done but I had a question on the a-arms. How do I remove the bushings from the upper and lower arms? They are the rubber variant type that have a shell. Do they need to be pressed in/out?

Thanks!

All I can say is have fun. I wrecked one of my lower arms trying to get the bushings out. They were rusted in badly, as well as rusted to the cross shaft making it almost impossible.

I would suggest to start spraying them with penetrating oil right away and let them sit for a few days, (spraying them alot) before you actually try removing them.

I used an air hammer to do mine. I don't think a press would work for removing because the cross shaft is in the way. To install it would work great.
