the 67-68 the end of the hood is more sloped and only fits 67-68 fenders/grille/etc the 69-72 arent as sloped and fit just 69-72

67 and 68 hoods are longer in the front and lay at a flatter angle in the front.
The 69-72 hoods are more vertical and blunter on the front as they stop behind the grille rather than extending over the front edge of the grille like the 67-68 ones do.

It's got a raised "cowl induction" section in the middle. Strictly aftermarket.

There is no difference in the cowls, the hoods themselves are different. A 67 cowl hood will not fit a 69-72 because the hood itself is different. If you just have the cowl that needs welding or puttying to a hood, then there is no difference.

See the raised section in the center of longnlow's hood, a' la GM Muscle car?
Never available on our trucks. In the past, folks have made them from pieces or molded on a scoop, but recently, aftermarket companies are producing them ready to go right out of the box.

My mistake. Gotta check my glasses. I only read as far as "cowl", thinking he was taling about the one over the wipers, and didn't realize he wanted a "cowl hood" - meaning aftermarket hood. Oh well, kept me awake tonite.
