Clear side markers - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I found some clear side markers lights still in plastic and box in the '81 2wd Blazer I bought last September?
So I went out to where I have it stored and grabbed them with the intention of putting them on my driver 2wd Blazer.
I pull them out of the box and YUCK! the stainless trim that wraps around them is the worst thing I've ever seen. On stock SM lights the stainless forms around the plastic lense real nice and tight. On these, they did not even form around the lense, just the tabs holding them in place? I think I could take the stainless from some stock amber lenses and maybe but them on the clear lenses, but what a hassle! So much for made in Taiwann(sp?). Even right now just thinkg about it I want to go out in the dark and take them back off.
Anyone want to trade some clear side markers, as new, for a nice set of amber side markers?

I just bought clear ones also; they were from APC and I am very happy with them.

Not sure where these ones came from, but man they are pretty poor quality. Not really into the clear thing, but my amber ones are pretty bad so I thought why not. I might have to rob the amber ones off my Jimmy.....
