I myself have only seen two 1 tons that had the 6:17 ratio... they were a 1971 and a 1972. Very odd looking diff.... looks like very large dana cover. Ten bolt studs for the wheels. The have two vacuum pods underneath the cab of the truck to assist in braking. Both had a drum style parking brake on the rear on the tranny also. I have seen a 1972 1/2 ton with that parking brake type option also. Rod
