New Life in the Beater
Hello fellas! I just bought a 1966 c 10 from a local here and it needs help. I am wanting to pull the motor and tranny for a while so that i may rebuild it. I am still fairly new the the truck world and unsure of a good motor tranny combo that I could put in. It will be temporary so I wanted to purchase an in-expesive combo from a junk yard or something that will run for a while and keep the beast rolling. So the big question is does anyone have any good suggestions, to point the rookie in the right direction?

It's a V8 with what I believe to be a powerglide judging by the shape of the tranny fluid pan. I am going to get casting numbers of it this weekend.

That looks like a truck I saw for-sale in Northern Oklahoma a while back. Are you in Blackwell, Ok?
