Fuel Line Leak
I noticed tonight that I have a fuel leak in the hard line about 4 inches away from my fuel pump. The fuel pump that I have is a 5/16 fitting. Now I have another metal line but its 3/8 on both ends. I looked around and found a fitting that is 5/16 male that would go into the fuel pump and is 3/8 female that would take the metal line I have. Here is a pic of it. Has anyone used anything like this? And would it be safe to use it until I get a new 5/16 metal line.

Adapters like in the picture are safe if properly installed and are good forever.

I used one of those in my trans cooler circuit.I'm running steel lines as well.
As long as the double flares are in good condition you won't have any leaks.
