shaved stake pocket holes
how did you shave the stake pocket holes ? did you also fill in the hole at the bottom? pics please if you have them

I made a small plate the size of the hole and welded it in.
This should be in the paint/body section. heres a pic any way. Matt |

Did the same thing basically. I took some tape and put it on till I covered the hole with a lil extra on each side traced the hole out on the tape, took the tape off as one, put it on a piece of scrap sheet metal cut it out and then put a stud on the back to hold it, then spot welded it in, cut the stud off, grinded the welds down, and used some metal to metal over it. Then the basic body work. It's easy cause you can use the same template for all of them or at least I did. I'm no expert by far just a kid in body shop class. And I did fill in the holes just did the same thing basically.

If you are shaving the stake pockets, go the extra mile and remove the actual pockets (boxes) that sit below the frame rails for a cleaner look. I plan on doing this on mine when I get to that point.
