changed idiot cluster for gauges.
Unsure about Batt gauge. One wire to the small cable next to Battery And the other wire I put on the 12gRed wire on the back of the Alt. Is that correct? ![]() Last edited by 67chevemall; 05-30-2005 at 09:16 AM. |

Hey all! I’m kinda new to this place. Someone from Team Camaro mentioned this site. What have I done this weekend? Well since I picked up a 67 GMC ½ ton for $175 last weekend, I washed it and the engine compartment of the 88 sub I’m cannibalizing for parts. Yesterday I pulled everything loose from the sub’s engine and pulled it this morning. Next I’m pulling the crossmember with steering and suspension to use on the 67.

Went to a car show in Rogersville, TN on Saturday. Stopped in at cruise-in at Morristown.
Went to church on Sunday morning, then to bbq and baptism with the church afterwards. Went to my neices b-day party after that. Went to Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge with some friends Sunday evening. That's about it. I'll have pics of the show up later.

Worked Saturday. Came home & drank a few cold ones. Sunday was my daughters 2nd B-day party. Monday: I compounded/waxed the dash and the metal above the windshield, then proceded to clean the rest of the truck. Organized my toolbox. Pulled the straight column then installed my tilt column. Started installing the cruise & got frustrated so I cut the grass and I think that was it.

Nothing on my truck as my Isuzu Trooper 4x4 (another GM/Japanese fusion brand) still needs work to get it through it's annual inspection. Swapped the slipping worn out auto-locking front hubs for a pair of new manual hubs, sorted sut some paint on some recent welding and today I am finding a pro to entrust fitting a new brake caliper to as I hate working on brakes myself, there the only thing between me and the bloke with the scythe and hooded robe so I'd rather entrust them to someone that knows what they are doing. After that just the rear propshaft to rebuild with new UJ's and a new centre bearing and it's back to the testing station. Maybe after that I can tackle the truck.
Heres a pic of my daily driver in the snow over at my house in France this february, it's my parts hauler and general dogsbody, 1991 2.8L turbo diesel LWB Isuszu Trooper Citation, a bit smelly and bashed but she runs real well and handles the two day 900 mile trip well between my two houses loaded to the roof with all sorts of junk and makes it up the very rough forestry track to my house with ease. I wish I could take my truck but it'd bankrupt me the price of gas over here! ![]()
