3 point belts?? Are these rare??
I guess since the last two trucks I've had have been equiped with these I might be missing it, but the last person who stopped about my truck was all excited cause of the 3 point shoulder belts. Is this a rare option? I'm getting ready to start stripping it and don't want to leave them in there if they are of some use.
Thanks, Nik |

If they truely are original 67-72's you do have something there. The original belts though have two buckles for each position, one for the lap and the other for the shoulder belt. They most likely would have also been listed on the glove box label if original. About as close as I have seen one was a government pickup and a couple pictures floating around this board. Super rare in deed.

Anybody have pics of some to compare with? These look original because of the bright blue color that matches the truck.

How about you post some pictures and we'll decide if they are correct?
I just wish I had a set or two to take a picture of!

I just went out to try and get a shot but the flash thingy on the camera decided to go on strike. I'll try and get a pic tomorrow. I did take the bolt off the the part that attaches the shoulder part to the cab and it doesn't look like a self tap bolt or anything, it looks like it was there all along. Is there something else that would be attached there if not for the belts?

If it doesn't come with the belts there will be a plastic plug in that hole. But the hole is there from the factory, even on non shoulder belt trucks.

There was a set of shoulder belts in a truck I bought about 15 years ago. I didn't know what I had. I threw them in the trash and replaced them with a set of aftermarket shoulder harness belts. Oh, well. You live and learn.

I just dug out the shoulder belt itself, the rest of the belts look just like the stock lap belts.
