It might help if you were to put a price range of what your looking to spend...

Bought one

Bought one here at the beaches. Found it in a local paper. Garage kept, 42,000 miles, top has never been off, new tires and exhaust. Nedds a pass. fender. It is a 4wd and I want to convert it. Any thoughts?

Check back through the posts as this has been discussed. Good luck.
P.S. Don't know what you paid for that one, but seems to me that you might have less hassle selling it as a 42k original and buying or possibly trading for a 2wd.
