Looking for pic of speaker set ups for 68 with tank behind seat.
Looking for underseat or kickpanel set ups or any other set up that will work.

Thanks

Here's a pic of my custom install. I built 2 boxes for 2 8" subs and the amp under the seat. I used MDF board purchased at Home Depot. CD player and 4 speakers mounted on sides of console. About 5 hours worth of work. I will recover the console with green vinyl and 1/2" foam next year. Use cardboard to make a model of console, first.

What did you do with your heater vent with that console?

76 bonanza, I didn't do anything with the heater vent, because I don't use the heater at all. But, I probably will put a deflector panel in front of the vent. When I get the A/C working, of course. I don't drive the truck in the winter, since I live in Indiana. Right now the back of the console is open. But, I will eventually put a deflector panel in to divert the air to both sides of the floor, which will also keep the stereo and speakers cool. There once was a guy on the board here that was working on some custom fiberglass kick panels that would accomidate some larger mid bass speakers, but I am not sure of what ever became of that. Maybe someone will remember that thread.

Your right there isn't much room. That's why I went with 8" subs. My truck has been in storage since last October. I didn't even get it out this year, because the trans is slippin'. I've been workin' on the Chevelle. Since you have the seat out just measure the dimensions. I think my sub boxes are about 10" square and about 3" deep on the front side and 4" deep on the back side. Make them out of MDF board and be sure to seal them with silicone or caulking of some kind on the inside. Oh ya, they are facing upward, so you will feel it on your a$$. Sorry, I can't get you a pic without pulling my seat out. The truck is stored over 100 miles away.

They are Fusion subs. I don't remember how deep they are though. I used 3/4" MDF to make the boxes for them.

well, the reason i keep asking this questions is because i have found very few subs that are that small enough(in depth) to fit under the seat
