What can you 4x4 guys recommend for agressive yet streetable tires these days? I'm prolly going with a 31" tire on deep dish rally's cause I know it will fit. I have purchased a 2" lift for my truck. Would that allow me to maybe squeeze 33" tires comfortably??

I like BFG Mud Terrains on a truck that will see a lot of highway miles. They are agressive and last a long time.

Agree w/ 1972, also don't go any wider than a 8" rim and you have no issues w/ the tires hitting the sheetmetal. The burb I just bought has dunlop radial mud tires and for the 250 miles I've driven it they seem pretty good. About $50 cheaper then the BFGs at Sam's Club.

Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs are a good off road tire with good road manners,too.You can`t go wrong with BFG M/Ts or most knock-offs of that design.ProComps are supposed to give good mileage,too.If you can find good deals locally on Coopers,Kellys,Dunlops,etc.,their mud treads are good and they wear well.

I have a set of Coopers (31x10.5) w/ no lift on my 72 blazer. I run it 50 miles on the hwy 1 way to work and they are pretty good. Not too noisy and wear well. I have Goodyear AT's on my 72 K20 with a 4" lift, great traction but JC are they loud. I don't do any off roading, so when I get new shoes for the blazer I'm going 33x12.50 on 8" rallies for the front and 10" rallies in the back. I like the look of the wheel wells filled up.

ive got 31x10.5s on 15x8inch chev ralleys on my gmc 4x4, no rubbing at all and they are a bfg/at knock off, had them for a year and they are in great shape still. with a 2 inch lift you should have no problems running a 33 inch tire.

I'm running the pro comp mud terrains. About 4k miles so far. They still look new. They're pretty quiet on pavement. I just got my 4wd fixed, so I haven't had a chance to test them in the hills yet. I've had 3 sets of bfg MTs and 2 sets of bfg ATs. They all wore well. If you're going to wheel, go for the MTs over the ATs. Not much more $$ or noise, and they perform waaay better off-road. My .02

I've had 2 sets of BFG AT KO's and they wore like rocks. I must have gotten a gillion miles out of both sets. Awesome tires. Then I bought a set of General Grabber MT's for the Grand Wagoneer, and a set of Grabber AT's for the 84 Jimmy. Almost identical tires as the BFG's and for the price, wear life, and traction, I'll never buy BFG's again. Hopefully I didnt piss any BFG owners off, But just my .02

About $50 cheaper then the BFGs at Sam's Club. __________________ 1970 K25, 8' stepside bed 350/465/205 44 up front, 60 in the rear 4.10s rolling on 33" Dunlop MTs 1986 K5, 350/465/208 Dana 60/14 bolt from a cucv 36" Super Swampers TSL/SX 1983 K20 w/ CUCV axles, 350/700R4/208 sitting on 37" Goodyears 1986 M1031 6.2 diesel, TH400/NP205 locker in the rear and a LS in the front, all stock for now..... 1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed.
