Can't remember the name but you guys who hit carlisle all the time someone should know him. He air brushes valve covers with high temp. I bought a set about 4 years ago however I sold the truck and left them on. They looked just as good 4 years and some 60k later s the day I got them. About $150.00 I paid for them.

Yeah, I've kept an eye open for some GMC covers, but I haven't seen any. Depending on the costs, the only option that I know of is to have some custom made $$$... or maybe cut out the G M C lettering from thick stock, paint them and epoxy them to your favorite 'plain' valve cover. Probably could be made to look 'professional'.

I dont understand why there arent any GMC valve covers. I would shell out big bucks for a nice pair. If anyone finds any let us know. Ill be going to the Pomona swap meet in December (biggest car show/swap meet in the West) hopefully I'll find some there.

They probably don't exist because you are looking for GMC valve covers for a Chevy engine. I doubt there is a lot of demand for them like there is for Chevy valve covers.

I’ve pondered the same thing. It seems absurd for GM not to have these options for this model truck named after the corp itself. But Chevrolet has always been the sporty, customized and what seems to be the favored of these two models by the corp. Every time someone one the street ask “what is year Chevy is that”, I respond it’s a GMC, they respond like, Oh…..those are good work trucks…. . I bet all there is for GM to offer is a sticky decal that has GMC on it.

I have a tailgate with the simple letters “GMC” on the left and it’s pressed out. You would think there’s valve covers with GMC pressed letter.

Thought for the day: Why isn't there such a thing as a motor/engine named GMC; like chevy.

Didn't GMC have some of their own engines at one time? I had a neighbor once who had a 67-72 GMC longbed stepside that had a V6 from the factory. He told me that it was a GMC engine, not a Chevy.

Try GMC Sprint (GMC ElCamino Clone) sites. I believe I've seen them on some sprints.

Well Ladies & gentlemen, boys & girls, dogs & cats,

There you have it, a GMC v6 engine!!!! Jesse977…. Looks like you’ll need some decals. As for me and 87 GMC…. I’ll stick with my 305 Chevrolet until I can build my 327 Chevy engine. Now…. We all see why Chevy/Chevrolet are so popular… that engine is not exactly a Saturday night special.
