Newbie from Indiana
Hello,
I've been hitting the site since I bought my truck. Just thought I would post a pic online. its a 72 shortbed, that according to the VIN, had a stepside where the fleetside bed now rests. I need to do some work to the bed so I don't know if changing it back over will improve the value or if it really matters. Personnally, I like the fleetside look more than the step side, so I'll probably leave it. I think I got a really good deal on it. I paid $500 and drove it home. The only scary part was the drivers door doesn't latch correctly so I made the first right hand turn and the driver door flew open. It was in front of a church and I thought I was going to give the guy that was walking out the church a heart attack. well here are a couple pics. the first is photoshopped ( I wanted to see what it would like like at least primered) and the second it how it really looks. |

Welcome to the board from South Mississippi! Good looking truck, especially for $500. Any truck you can drive home that cheap is a good deal!

I plan on starting to replace some of the sheet metal next week. had to sit on it for about a month due to going to school part time. but the semester is over. time to start welding.

Re: Newbie from Indiana
Welcome from Indianapolis. Steppers are worth less than fleets for the 73-87 series, I assume it is the same for 67-72. Some of the stepper unique items might also be tougher to find.
