WTB np205 and other parts
Ok what I really need is the rear drive shaft for a np205 transfer case. That will fit a 77 SB 350 4x4 with a 350 tranny. I have everything else just need the rear drive shaft.

Re: WTB np205 and other parts
Do you have a bolt on yoke...on the case or slip yoke...And a th350/205 is a rare setup...
Also a weld to weld measurment would help too Last edited by bisquik65; 12-27-2005 at 08:39 PM. |

You may want to go to the faq's section on the board...over this swap...It is not a direct bolt on....Or try the 4x4 discussion...board.. And the adapters are different, mounts are different...Just trying to help,Thanks,Erick |

Eric,
I know your trying to help as this swap is new to me. Do you think the conversion kit would be a better route? Jason |

Re: WTB np205 and other parts
Putting lockouts on the hubs will help. NP-203 trucks didn`t have lockouts on the front, so the front drive shaft turned all the time (full time). Hope this helps.

Re: WTB np205 and other parts
The 203 is a chain driven case and the 205 is a gear driven case. The 205 is much stronger than the 203. The 205 is considered one of the strongest stock cases there are. Most of the hard-core 4-wheelers use the 205, especially if you plan on using 35" or larger tires and more than the average 4-wheeling.

Re: WTB np205 and other parts
Best thing to do is get a complete setup out of another truck. The TH350 you have in front of your 203 has a different out put shaft them a TH350 w/205. I have a complete setup in a 1980 blazer i'm parting. You would still need to have a driveshaft made and install a set of lockouts and you would be done. Well just my $.02. Jason
