OT just purchased a 71 camaro
hey guys i just got a 71 camaro today. It was one of those deals i just stopped by left a note and the guy called me. He needed to sell bad I offered a price and he took it. It supposedly is a 350 with a 400 trans, but i am not holding my breath until i can check the numbers. But it runs and drives. Needs ALOT of bodywork, these pics dont show it but this thing needs alot of attention. I have always liked the lines of the early 70's camaro and i thought i shouldnt pass it up. Tell me guys what you think
thanks John |

Looks like you got yourself a little project. I too have always liked the look of some of the early 70s camaros. I passed up a deal a few years back on purchasing a split bumper camaro from my uncle. It was a good running car, but needed some interior work and very little body work, but I needed a daily driver so I said no. Damn I could just kick myself sometimes

Car looks good. I just sold one Friday at a the Grand Run in Pigeon Forge, Tn. It didn't take long to sell, (3 hours). I think they are gaining popularity because the 67-69's are getting hard to find. Looks like you got a good car to work with. I'm sure it will turn out nice.

Cool. I had a '72 Camaro body that was a project of mine until I brought home a '72 pickup. I'll have one again someday.

Ahh looks like you need a blower in your early 2nd gen too and then it will be perfect
No really I love the early 2nd gen and I would take one over a 67-69 any day! You just see too many of them and not enough early 2nd gens. a little primer black and its a hot rod

looks good for a project car. A buddy of mine bought a 74 fbird last fall and it is hurtin, it has hardly anything left for rear subframe no rear quarters worth saving not to mention the lack of a trunk pan. All of this without being sandblasted......
