whoa, never seen one of these on our trucks. It looks to be a power ram power steering setup from a early model corvette. Could even be one off a ferd! lets hope not

Isn't that correct for the '67's? I have a '63 Impala that has this set up and they are notorious for leaks! I might switch to manual and avoid the cost/headaches.

appears to be the vette style, but the last vette I worked on was a 72, and it was a little different. might try to look for a vette parts supplier and compare pics of the unit from there.

It's correct for 67's and early 68's.

WHOA guys!! This is original equipment on '67/'68s! Nothing wrong with it except it's very slow (same amount of turns as manual steering) Devin; parts should be readily available at your Chevy dealer, tell them you need a repair kit for a ram style PS cylinder. I have also seen them listed in one of our supplier catalogs, but can't remember which one.

Yup, Thats an origanal power steering set up for the 67-early 68s... My 68 BB GMC has it and I have parted a few others with that steering set up. The one in my GMC works great, but like smitty62 says it takes 2 days to turn all the way to the right or left...LOL WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Thanks for all the help guys! I was starting to wonder because I haven't seen it on any other trucks.
Thanks again Devin

I have a '67 and would like to change the PS on it now back to the original style.... I'ts a 283 and has late model style brackets(no tension adjustment) and it's become a pain to deal with... would like to change back to an riginal style pump and maybe the ram style box.... any Info would be helpful... thanks
