Power Brake Conversion Questions
I just rounded-up a power brake unit on e-bay. The problem is that it didn't come with the actuator rod that connects the booster to the brake pedal. Obviously, I need that rod. Questions:
1. Is the power brake rod different from the non-power brake rod? 2. Aside from the bone yard, are there any parts retailers that sell them? 3. Without changing to disc brakes up front, can I just install the booster and have power drum brakes? Do I need a different master cylinder? Thanks. It's been a while, but work has really been busy for me!

Re: Power Brake Conversion Questions
The brake rod is different but I think its the same rod on later 70s power brake trucks also so its a little easier to find one .Dont know if anyone sells them.Use the present master cyl, just carefully move it out so it will bolt to the booster, leave the lines hooked up and be careful you dont bend or kink them and you wont even have to bled the brakes. Be sure to bolt the rod to the pedal before mounting the booster solid ,If you dont you will find out why very soon. Very easy upgrade.

Re: Power Brake Conversion Questions
i didn't yet, but i can get them easy mostly s-10 things. was concidering trying to use something more compact though, like from a fiero to make clearance less of an issue. any extra brake boost would be great.
