4.5/6 drop.
Has anyone gone with 4.5/6, what ive got so far is 2" drop front coils and 3" drop rear coils. I was thinking of going with the 5" spring in the back and 1" block. and 2" front drop spring with drop spindles.
What things will i need to change in order to keep my truck driving straight and not ruining other suspension parts? my headers are full length and i worrie about clearence for those because its a long box! or am i just hallucinating?

Re: 4.5/6 drop.
You will need the adjustable panhard bar and a rear shock relocater kit

Re: 4.5/6 drop.
Depending on the brand & type of headers, you may/may not have clearance issues. Stick a 2x4 under your headers & exhaust @ the current ride height. If it looks too close, you'll have problems & will need to consider swapping back to manifolds or shorty headers.
My 68 has dropped spindles & ~3" shorter coils up front w/a 27.5" front tire diameter. For reference, you have to remove the plate off of a standard 2-ton floor jack to roll it under the front crossmember. I don't have problems @ that height but it had headers that had to be removed. It has bottomed out in a construction zone before, typically it just buzzes the tops of the front inner fenderwells occasionally. For the rear, @ a 6" drop (5" coil + 1" block) you can get away w/modifying your stock panhard bar or get an aftermarket adjustable one. Shock relocators would be good but not mandatory because it's technically only a 5" drop (blocks don't alter the travel distance on the shocks). Even then, you can relocate the stock brackets or use shorter off the shelf shocks. 6" drops will work w/o a c-notch but you will prob need to remove or relocate the bumpstop.

Re: 4.5/6 drop.
It's hard to tell from pics. Drop spindles will lower the current ride height either 2.5" or 3" (depending on the spindle brand).
Stack some wood pieces together to get the same thickness as the amount of spindle drop. Slide the wood under the headers & get a buddy to bounce on the front end w/you (we stand on the front bumper & hold on to the opened hood to keep from falling). If the headers hit the wood..... you'll have your answer.

Summit & Jegs each sell BellTech spindles. DJM also makes a 3" spindle.

Re: 4.5/6 drop.
Carrzy4, If you go with 4" springs and a 2" block (rear) you won't need the shock relocators or the adj. bar. This is what I run with out any problems.
Good luck, Rg
