AC help needed!!

I went for a trip to the store earlier today, made it about a block from my house when the ac compressor locked up on my truck. Normally it would be easy to change out the compressor, flush, and recharge. I'm wanting to change things a bit. I'm wanting to add a rear ac unit from a van to the back seat of my truck. the lines will be easy. what I need to know is about compressors, and condensors. Is there a difference in the compressor between the suburban (truck) with rear air and the suburban without. When I go looking up parts online there isn't a difference listed. Is the condensor the same? It looks the same to me, but I do know how decieving looks can be. Any tips to improve cooling While I'm doing this would be appreciated. The lines I'm going to use will be custom made from Tomkin industries once I know what I'm connecting. The truck is a 1989 Gmc 1 ton crew cab. (the 80-87 style) The actual rear air unit I'm going to use came from a 78 van.
