Balljoint replacement

Okay so Im replacing the balljoints on my 90 Burb (4wd) and I figured it would be worth the effort to ask the subject matter experts - This forum . If you have replaced yours and if you have any hints send them my way. This burb has 125,000 miles on it so I am looking at some hours on this.

On a happier note:

I am expecting to acquire a second 89 burb in 2 weeks with 35,000 original miles on it (former law enforcement vehicle) its 2wd.

Re: Balljoint replacement

I did them in my '89 burb 2wd and there wasn't anything special I had to do. Rent (for free) a ball joint tool. Mine were original and I had to grind off the rivets that held it in (then replace them w/ bolts/screws). But overall it wasn't too bad (although that was a 2wd and I'm not sure how different 4wd is).

Hope that helps a little...

congrats on the '89!! 35k, wow.
