Re: Got Bags???

is it laying to the cross member or are the wheel wells sitting on the tires
just wondering if it has the option of going lower with minor mods or if it would take alot to get it down further
sorry about all the questions

It's resting on the inners up front. They are most likely coming out tomorrow. Also got 2" blocks for the rear instead of the 1-1/2 ones I'm currently running. Will have to notch bed for pumpkin but it'll get it lower.

Re: Got Bags???

Are you using an adjustable panhard bar? And, does it hit your cross beam in the back on the right hand side? I just installed the rear axle, bags, the panhard bar, and 2 inch blocks, and mine hits. Any help and pics would be greatly appreciated. Also, what kind of shocks did you use and did you use rear relocator kit? sorry for all of the questions, just trying to get things right.

Re: Got Bags???

That looks great! What bags are you running? The kit I just bought came with 2 Slam Specialties rs-62's and 2 rs-72's. I can't wait until it gets here.

I also got the drop spindle disc kit for the front, c-notches, and the super track bar on it's way too. I should be starting my long awaited under-stuff in a week! The timming couldn't be better, my left front wheel bearing burned up on the freeway last weekend

OK, let me try to get all these in the correct order:
I am using CPP's bolt in c-notch, and ECE's super track bar. I ended up not needing to use the 2" blocks, as after I cut a small square in the bed to clear the diff, it still bottoms out the axle on the snubbers in the notch. The only thing that I needed to clearance was one of the bolts in the notch where it was hitting. I simply flipped the bolt and installed it from the bottom instead of from the top and it's fine now. If I removed the snubbers I would gain 3/4" in the notch and could use the 2" blocks, but I'd rather keep the snubbers in there and be able to slow-cruise aired out all the way. Metal on metal banging together doesn't sound or feel too good.
I'm running Doetsch Tech shocks and the ECE relocator kit. What pics do you need me to take for you? If you can specify I'll try to do it for ya. I'm leaving for the RA show in Tennessee thursday night, but sadly not taking my truck now due to money issues but I'll be back Monday, so PM me if I don't answer here and I'll get back to you.

I'm running Slam RE7's front & rear. They ride awesome. Reason I bought them was from all the good feedback I heard on them. It could be me, but they seem to be built better than the 'stones, and I like the internal bumpstop feature.

The internal bumpstops are why I bought them. The ones I got are older, but they were overstocks I got for less than half the price.

That looks damn nice. Makes me motivated to get mine done (even though I don't have everything just yet). My setup is very close only I got everything from CPP.

<edit> Also, are you going to run two tanks and two compressors, or just two compressors? To buy a second compressor to match the one I have is $180, but I don't want to try and fit a second tank as well.

I've got (2) 3-gallon tanks. One on each frame rail right in front of rear tires.
I had a hookup on the 380's. Paid $130/ea. for 'em.

Re: Got Bags???

Ok, that makes sense with two 3-gallon tanks. I have one 7-gallon that "should" fit somewhere. I hope with that and the single Thomas I have it should be enough. I don't plan on doing a lot of fill/dump, but it would be nice to have enough to adjust when needed.

I said that too before I had bags.... But I'm still in the "infantile stage" of having bags so I'm a little switch-happy.

I'm sure I'll be the same way. My daughter said she wants it to be like the Dumbo ride at Disneyland.

What size tire are you running front and back? I have a 245/40/20 on the front and a 295/40/20 on the back and was just wonder if mine will even go that low before hitting the tubs. Oh yeah that is a sweet little ride you have there.

Thanks! I'm running 255/35/20 all around. You may have some issues getting low with those tires up front. Also out back I'm not sure, but you might have clearance issues as well. Those are some big meats!!
