Re: crew cabs

Not very many were built. I would love to have one, but up where I am, if they did exist they are crushed or rusted to death. There is one near you (just guessing) sitting.

Re: crew cabs

There is one sitting downtown In Tecumsa, Oklahoma. I bought a bed from a guy on the forum and spied it sitting behind a chain link fence.

Re: crew cabs

Star is about 45 miles from me and i just happened to be going thru the area. I have to go that way i will chek it out but have no idea when that will be. Just about all of the trucks that sit outside around here are really rusty. The humidity runs about 90% for 5 months a year

Smile Re: crew cabs

Hi all thanks for the input . Is the one in NM for sale and how bad is it? I don't care if the fenders are shot or small problems just no big rust spots. My family keeps growing and I love the 60s trucks I just thought it would be an awesome project to do.
Thanks
Todd

Re: crew cabs

I am not sure if it is for sale, the Ol' guy that owns it is a college professor at Eastern New Mexico University here in Portales. I have only spoken to him once many years ago, about the truck, I guess it was used by the university as a maintenance truck back in the 60's and 70's then he bought it at one of the university auctions. I could stop by again and see if he is home and if he would like to part ways with it? I believe it is a short bed crew cab from what I can remember. I will try and get by there this week
