80 3/4 ton front spring sag?
Does anyone know what the approx. distance from the top of my leaf spring to the bottom of the bumper stop should be? I'm trying to determine if my springs have sacked over the the years and if so how much. The springs are flat now.
thanks in advance |

If the springs are flat, they have not sagged much. They actually have a negative (down on the ends) arch from the factory.

Re: 80 3/4 ton front spring sag?
They do have a slight negitive arch. But the bumper stop is only about 2 1/2" above the spring. Do these trucks only have 2 1/2" to travel? ( + a small amount of bumper squish) seems short, but thats why I'm askin the all knowing board here
thanks |

thats pretty much all they have from the factory and 20 or 30 years worth of weight and sag.
